RSC Monthly Bulletin June 2020

RSC Monthly Bulletin
June 2020

June only had 1 birthday, Happy Belated Birthday to Jim (June 20th!)

Cell Phone Stipends
  • June is the last month for cell phone stipends at this time.  If you haven't sent yours in yet, I will be back at the corporate office on Wednesday, July 8th and could submit at that time.
  • With all mileage and expense forms, please make sure you complete all of the boxes.  I received several June forms with the Site information missing.

HUD QA Satisfaction Surveys
  • I've receive a LOT of the surveys back, we had a much bigger participation percentage this year!
  • Marlene, Charlie and I will be working in August on logging the surveys and then we will be trying to determine the best way to distribute the HUD QA Addendums.
    • If you recall, last year we did "mini team meetings" to distribute, sign, and copy the addendums.  Meetings are not yet a good idea so we will be working to determine the best course of action.
EHM Work Schedules
  • As of Monday, July 6th, we are back to full-time on site schedules.
  • If you have a scheduling concern, please reach out to Sally.

Other News in COVID-19 Precautions
  • masks remain required in any site area outside of your personal office
  • meeting with a resident in a resident's apartments should be reserved for emergent issues only
  • social distancing is still encouraged when meeting with residents
    • to ensure this is possible, you are encouraged to meet with residents in a common area where a table can be "reserved" for RSC work.  This will allow you to meet face-to-face with residents (you both should be wearing masks) while practicing social distancing.
    • if a resident refuses to wear a mask, you have the right to request that you utilize the telephone to provide service and drop paperwork back and forth.  Remember that some of our residents may be unable to wear masks so we should remain open minded.
  • EHM is reviewing the possibility of purchasing plastic barriers for our desks.  I will update you once I have heard an update.
Flu Clinics
  • While programs are still on hold, some nursing agencies have reached out to sites regarding the fall flu clinic.
  • We CAN assist with the set-up of site flu clinics if the nurses understand it will be appointments only and residents are called down one at a time
  • I trust each of you to work with your nursing organization to the best of your ability to ensure any paperwork is done before hand, appointments are made, and residents are aware that they cannot come down and "wait" for the nurse in the common area.
  • Your property manager should be informed in order to schedule the common area being blocked out and to schedule a deeper cleaning of the community area following the flu clinic.
  • This can be logged as a program the same way we were doing in the past, the appointment sheet will make logging participants easier.
  • a reminder note, non-participants can have service logs from programs, the documentation must clearly state it is a program.
July's Monthly Reports
  • Reports are due Wednesday, July 29th by noon.
  • July's Mini RSC Meeting
    • We will have a Quick RSC Zoom Meeting on Wednesday, July 15th.  It should not take long, I will check in with you guys on how the work is going and provide any updates as necessary.
I hope you all have a great 3 day weekend.  Please stay safe and wash your hands!
Christine
