RSC Bulletin: May 2021
RSC Bulletin
May 2021
Thank you for all the "Welcome Back" messages and for your patience with outstanding PARs, pending emails and the general hub-bub of coming back to work while COVID restrictions and guidance also change.
As you know, on January 4th I had a beautiful baby boy!
I know there have been 5 months of birthdays, so Happy Belated Birthday to everyone in the first half of 2021!
- Here is an updated RSC list as I don't believe I was able to complete one prior to my leave.
- Mileage/Expense Reports
- The reimbursement rate for mileage was changed in 2021. I've attached updated copies for Site Based Here and EHM Based Here.
- Please delete old copies of the reports from your computer.
- Also, everyone was told to submit expense reports to their Regional Manager while I was out... if you are missing an expense check, please let me know.
- ADL Counts
- In preparing the 2022 budgets, I've found that ADL counts are way down. Some sites are showing no residents with an ADL need.
- Please remember to click on ADL needs for your residents when you are completing assessments. The ADL need does not require services... you can click the need if you assess that the resident requires assistance, not if they are receiving services.
- Contact me or the Team Leads if you have questions about this.
- Speaking of Assessments...
- You all received Pam's email with the changes in COVID restrictions/regulations on site.
- This includes reopening community spaces, restarting programs, and resuming in-person meetings such as recertifications.
- Beginning in June, all assessments must be done with residents, in-person.
- These can take place in the RSC office, in a common area, or in the resident's unit.
- If the assessment takes place outside of the resident's unit, a follow-up Home Visit and Home Visit service log will be required to assess the status of the apartment. This was the policy prior to COVID, please reach out if you have a question regarding how to document this. su
- For in office or in unit assessments, masks must be worn and social distancing should be maintained.
- Flu Clinics
- Some sites have already begun receiving phone calls regarding the Flu Clinics in the fall. This program is pre-approved by management.
- You do not need to email Tammy, pam, or me with a request for the Flu Clinic. We anticipate all sites receiving the flu vaccine and actively encourage a flu clinic at each of our sites.
- Please keep your Property Administrators aware of the possible clinic dates.
- Ensure there are appointments/sign-ups to ensure social distancing.
- Provide hand sanitizer.
- Keep maintenance staff in the loop so that they can sanitize the area before and after the program.
- Reach out with any questions!
Charlie, Marlene and I will plan for our next RSC meeting, probably a zoom meeting, and then hopefully at the end of the year we can meet in-person again... it may be in smaller, regional groups, but we'll see!
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and staying safe and healthy. I look forward to restarting site visits and seeing you all more regularly again!
Thank you again for all your patience and hard work!
Stay Safe, Stay Cool, and Wash Your Hands!
