RSC Monthly Bulletin
October 2020
Happy Belated Birthday to Marlene Mendes (6th), Jaime Fields (10th) and Rethema Blackwell (17th).
Red Zone Towns
- As you are aware, the list of Red Zone towns has grown a lot this week!
- Hartford
- Middlebury
- North Canaan
- Norwalk
- Old Saybrook
- Stamford
- Waterbury
- Wolcott
- Any planned programs should be postponed... flier programs can continue, just make sure you are following the mask protocol.
- Meetings with residents should be done via telephone whenever possible.
- If you must meet with a resident face-to-face, as some residents will still request this and we should comply whenever possible, please meet in a community location where social distancing is possible.
- Ensure you and the resident are wearing masks.
Visits to Resident Units
- There will be times that we need to visit resident units to pick up paperwork, drop off items, clarify things by talking face-to-face.
- It has come to my attention that RSCs are allowing residents to be mask-less during these unit visits because "they are in their own home" ... this is not in line with EHM's protocol. If a resident requires your services, they must wear a mask, even in their own unit.
- If they refuse to wear a mask, they do not get RSC services face-to-face.
- This is to keep YOU and the Resident safe
- Visits to units should also include social distancing and should be done from the hallway whenever possible.
Standards for Success
- All of the Standards for Success reports have been submitted via AASC.
- Please go to your Standards for Success page and print your report submission confirmation. If you need assistance with doing this, please reach out to a friend in the group or your team lead!
