Recap! - RSC Meeting 3/6/2018
Hello Team!
Thank you for participating in our meeting yesterday, I really appreciate all your questions and input!
I received some feedback yesterday that it would be helpful to have a blog "recap" of our RSC meetings, especially when we go over so much information... so here is our first one!
First, here is the Meeting Agenda.
First, here is the Meeting Agenda.
1. RARM and FH Updates from Pam:
- Make sure you log that Pam has met our annual training requirement.
- She has sent a Compliance Blog update that reiterates the fact that any staff member can assist with a reasonable accommodation request. If you are experiencing issues or have questions about an RARM, please feel free to reach out!
- Also, all reasonable accommodation requests that are open/pending go on your monthly report and anything that was closed during the month go on your report. Once you have reported them closed, you may remove them from the next report.
2. Brain Storming:
- Resident Refusal Form (available on AASC and here)
- These will be used for participants and non-participants that refuse our services and assistance and are involved in eviction/lease violation proceedings with property management. This is what I will present to Pam/Tammy when a resident refuses RSC assistance after a property management referral that results from a lease violation. Any questions, feel free to ask!
- CHOICES Presentations for Residents
- The Regional CHOICES Coordinator for New Haven asked if any site is interested in pursuing a program for residents presented by the CHOICES office. The majority of RSC's felt this wouldn't work for their resident populations, if you would like Leslie's contact information, just send me an email
- RSC Topics for Discussion at Regional Meetings
- I will be attending the next Regional Meetings for Property Management staff, if you have an idea for a topic that you'd like me to mention at these meetings, send me a message!
- I will discuss the lease violation process and RSC involvement as well as review the RSC/Management referral forms for use at larger sites, sites with part time/split site RSC's and Management Staff.
3. Housekeeping
- Site Visits
- The team leads and I will be making more of an effort to do site visits outside of QA time frames. The visits will sometimes be unplanned due to our location/meetings/schedules throughout the day but I will attempt to provide a "heads up" email or text message if I plan on stopping by if possible.
- Mileage/Expense Reports
- To be submitted monthly
- Does not need a "real" signature, can have your typed name if you are sending via email.
4. Staffing Updates
- Heather Burns will transfer to our Beckley House, Beckley House Expansion, Bonney Brook and Meadow Brook sites in the Northwest part of the state.
- We will have a new employee joining us at Miss Laura Raymond Homes at the end of the month.
5. Quality Assurance Updates
- SC Daily Logs
- Resident Issues and Hours are no longer needed but Trainings and Programs should still be entered in order for QA Reviewers to see progress upon review.
- Progress Notes
- Ensure there is a note backing up each Service Log chosen
- Proof Read!
- Any Unsatisfactory QA Results will receive an Interim QA in the late spring/early summer.
- Programs
- Don't forget to provide residents with an annual safety program!
6. CapTel Presentation
- If you are interested in Kim coming out to do a program from your site, you can contact her at Kim.Schmidt@oeius.org
7. Upcoming Trainings & Meetings
- Tuesday, April 3rd at Parish Court in Fairfield
- Tuesday, May 22nd at Sullivan McKinney in Fairfield
8. RSC Satisfaction Surveys were emailed out, you can also print it here. The survey will be completely anonymous! I look forward to receiving your feedback!
Whew, that was a lot of information! I hope I didn't forget anything!
I've also updated the Calendar at the front page of the blog to show some vacation time that I will be taking in April. I hope you all have a great day and be safe in the snow!
